ബര്‍ലിന്‍ : ബര്‍ലിനിലെ തെക്കന്‍ ജില്ലയായ ക്ളാഡോയില്‍ രക്ഷപെട്ട രക്ഷപ്പെട്ട ഒരു കംഗാരു കോളിളക്കം സൃഷ്ടിച്ചു. കംഗാരുവിന്റെ ശരവേഗതയിലെ ഓട്ടം ഞായറാഴ്ച രാവിലെ നിരവധി പോലീസ് ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥരെ ശ്വാസം മുട്ടിച്ചു. അവര്‍ അതിനെ പിടിക്കാന്‍ ശ്രമിച്ചെങ്കിലും ഫലമുണ്ടായില്ല.

പോലീസ് വക്താവ് പറയുന്നതനുസരിച്ച്, മാര്‍സുപിയല്‍ സ്വകാര്യ സ്വത്തില്‍ നിന്ന് രക്ഷപ്പെട്ട കംഗാരുവിന്റെ ഉടമ അതിനെ കാണാനില്ലെന്ന് റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ട് ചെയ്തിരുന്നു. കംഗാരുവാകട്ടെ ഹാവല്‍ നദിക്കടുത്തുള്ള കാട്ടിലേക്ക് കയറി രക്ഷപ്പെട്ടു.
ദൃക്സാക്ഷിയുടെ വിവരം അനുസരിച്ച് മൃഗത്തിന് ഒരാളുടെ മുട്ടോളം ഉയരമുണ്ട്. അതിനാല്‍ ഇത് ഒരു വാലാബി ആയിരിക്കാം; 70 മുതല്‍ 80 സെന്റീമീറ്റര്‍ വരെ തല~ശരീര നീളമുള്ള ഇത് ഏറ്റവും ചെറിയ കംഗാരു ഇനങ്ങളില്‍ ഒന്നാണ്.
ബര്‍ലിന്‍~സ്പാന്‍ഡൗവിലെ സെക്ഷന്‍ 23 ലെ പോലീസ് ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥരാണ് രക്ഷപ്പെട്ട കംഗാരുവിനെ തിരഞ്ഞത്. അവര്‍ യഥാര്‍ത്ഥത്തില്‍ മൃഗത്തെ കണ്ടുവെങ്കിലും പിടികൂടാന്‍ കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല.

പോലീസ് സേന രണ്ട് മണിക്കൂര്‍ അതിനെ പിന്തുടര്‍ന്നെങ്കിലും ഫലമുണ്ടായില്ല എന്നാണ് റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ട്. തുടര്‍ന്ന് ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥര്‍ ക്ഷീണിതരായി കീഴടങ്ങി. ഒടുവില്‍, മൃഗം സാക്രോവര്‍ കിര്‍ഷ്സ്ട്രാസിലെ കാട്ടിലേക്ക് ചാടി ഹാവല്‍ നദിക്കടുത്തുള്ള കുറ്റിക്കാട്ടിലേക്ക് അപ്രത്യക്ഷനായി.
തിങ്കളാഴ്ചയും തെരച്ചില്‍ തുടര്‍ന്നുവെങ്കിലും മൃഗത്തെ കാണ്ടെത്താനായില്ല. മൃഗം പട്ടിണി കിടക്കില്ല. കംഗാരുക്കള്‍ സസ്യഭുക്കുകളാണ്, നാടന്‍ പുല്ല്, മരത്തിന്റെ പുറംതൊലി അല്ലെങ്കില്‍ അക്രോണ്‍ എന്നിവയാണ് ഭക്ഷണം. ചില നിബന്ധനകള്‍ക്ക് വിധേയമായി ജര്‍മ്മനിയില്‍ മൃഗങ്ങളെ സ്വകാര്യമായി വളര്‍ത്താന്‍ അനുവാദമുണ്ട്.
